What's the show about?

The international smash-hit musical Jersey Boys tells the astonishing story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and their meteoric rise to stardom to become one of the most successful pop bands ever. A joyful and heart-breaking collection of songs and stories that proves to be a recipe for success; even Steven Spielberg thinks it's good, having bought up the rights for a film version!

What's the story?

Set in 60’s New Jersey and New York, against a backdrop of rock’n’roll, gang culture, violence and organised crime, we follow the true story of four New Jersey boys all looking for a way out from the violence and the lure of the mob. They happen to form a singing group and, before they know it, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons are skyrocketing to the big time, but not without shaking off some of their dark past along the way. Guided by their iconic songs, the audience is taken on the journey with them, through heartache, joy, tragedy and friendship.

Who is it for? Should I see it?

Their hits defined the musical identity of a nation and have become some of the most evocative songs ever. Everyone is a fan of those songs, so everyone will be a fan of the musical. In particular, it is aimed at those who have a hanker for the 60s and those classic tracks to sip shakes and eat burgers to. The production contains some very strong language and adult themes, so it is recommended for children over the age of 12.
