Contrary to popular belief, actors really like the theatre; well, they do work in it! Most theatres now offer a discounted rate for all members of the acting and performers union Equity.
Always check with the box office beforehand to find out the exact rate of the concession and always bring your Equity card as proof of membership when collecting the tickets – box office managers are very strict on this.
