What's the show about?

The fight between good and evil is played out on the Serengeti, as animal after animal is created before the audience’s very eyes.

Featuring a memorable score by song-writing duo Elton John and Tim Rice, including iconic songs ‘The Circle of Life’, ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight’ and ‘I Just Can’t Wait to Be King’. Winner of six Tony Awards and two Olivier Awards, this is an epic musical for a new generation that has now been seen by more than 50 million people worldwide!

What's the story?

Set against the majesty of the Serengeti Plains, the story follows Simba, a young lion cub set to follow in his father Mufasa’s footsteps as king of the pride. But Mufasa’s brother Scar has other plans for the king and his young son. After tragedy strikes, Simba must run away, leaving Scar to rule with his army of cruel hyenas. All seems lost until Simba is befriended by an unlikely paring of a meerkat and a warthog known as Timon and Pumba. Together, the three friends make a plan to return Simba to his rightful place as ruler of the pride... that is if Scar doesn’t get in the way...
