Restricted View Seats
Every theatre auditorium in the West End has a handful of seats that are considered to have a restricted view. This means that either the stage is quite far away or there is a pillar or other architectural feature that may obscure your view of the action on stage. This sound far worse than it actually is and, for the cut-down price of these restricted-view tickets, it is well worth it.
These seats are usually located in the upper circle (the highest tier of seating), so if you have a fear of heights, then these seats might not be the best option for you. The top tip here is to ascertain from the box office exactly how and in what way is the view restricted – this will give you a better idea of what to expect. We would all love to be sitting dead-centre of the stalls, but this is rarely a reality, so settle for restricted seats at just a fraction of the price!
