Returns
‘Returns’ is the name given to tickets that have been purchased in advance but, for one reason or another, can’t be used and are therefore returned to the box office for re-sale. This gives the cheap ticket buyer a wonderful opportunity to save some money, as usually due to the last-minute nature, the ticket will be resold at a discounted price.
This is not always the case, especially for popular and sold-out shows – as everyone in the returns queue will be willing to pay the face value of the retuned ticket. Some theatres run a visible discounted returns policy where they will state a fixed price for any ticket returned, but as a general rule it is always best to check with the box office of the specific theatre on their returns policy, as it is wildly different for each theatre and show.
