Buying on the Day
Not everyone can be this carefree, but if you don’t need to plan your trip well in advance, then purchasing tickets on the day is one of the most effective ways of saving a lot of dosh! The only downside is that you are taking a gamble when it comes to the availability of your desired show.
Chances are there will be tickets, but it is always a risk, especially for some of more popular shows. You may also have to compromise on picking exactly where you want to sit, again depending on availability. The reason for all these wonderful cut price on-the-day tickets is due to producers of shows always wanting to have bums on seats – a packed auditorium is always better for both audience and cast. So any seats that have not sold in advance are released to the public at discount.
